When a woman empowers another woman

A happy woman is able to spread happiness in her family and be a source of inspiration and confidence to her children. On the other side, when a woman is not valued, or broken from within, do you think she can spread that same happiness to those around her, that she would when she was happy? Will she not struggle to smile, to inspire her kids, and show them what confidence is? It is in identifying her brokenness and frown, empathizing or the least, encouraging her with positivity that you could empower her. When she is empowered, she becomes the strength of those around her.

Sympathy is not what women seek today, it is the recognition of their efforts and service, to be heard and understood, valued and respected is what they desire. When women are encouraged, accepted, and celebrated by other women around them, you can be sure, that place of work, that family, or that group of friends is going to reach much higher with women empowering women.

Does empowerment sound like a heavy word? Simple deeds such as appreciating a woman for something apart from her looks, understanding her challenges, communicating, and not judging are ways to empower women. Being a woman, have you judged another woman who went through situations that you had been through at some point in life? Have you considered women in your family or among your friends as your competition? Have you preferred communicating with only those women, who seem to be happy, confident, or well-known? Do you really need to compare yourself to another woman who has her own struggles and goals?

If you could allow her to grow beside you and not try putting her down, let her know that you understand and not judge her, appreciate her for who she is without comparison, and show her a gentle smile when she needs it, there could be a big difference in her life as well as in yours!! Uplifting another woman and acknowledging her importance will not make you less important. It makes you a beautiful person who deserves to be admired and celebrated. This gesture could open doors to new friendships and better relationships.

Share your thoughts about how women could lift each other up and what difference would it make, in the comments.

I love supporting and empowering other women and to receive that energy too; it’s definitely a great mindset to have and work from.

I like supporting other women but I have also worked with lady bosses that make everyone’s life miserable. Sometimes it seems that women in power try to behave like men or try to show their toughness because they have been taken for granted by society and men. But also, during my most difficult times, women have supported me emotionally and in finding good work.

Thank you for sharing your experience and view.
I agree that there are women who don’t treat other women with respect. This makes it so difficult for women to get along with each other and life gets tough.
When women empower women the world becomes a better place and many women can be saved from anxiety, hopelessness, and negative experiences.

It’s true that many women don’t do it. But there are women who understand and touch the lives of other women with empathy and positivity.

Beautiful and enlightening post and so true it’s happening nowadays, people are so involved to climb the ladder of success and forget to follow little things of the life.

I agree that a lot of people are self- centred.
When a woman empowers another woman, there truly comes a positive change in the society.

Excellent piece. For now I’m so totally focused on reproductive justice and that aspect of disappearing women’s rights it’s easy to lose sight of everyday empowerment on the local/personal level. That begins, I believe, with making a habit of ALWAYS treating EVERYONE with kindness and respect. Especially every other woman on the planet.
